Welcome to the revamped Chun’s Corner, an irregular webzine of my SF,
Fantasy, and Horror fiction. Some might
call it basic, though I prefer the term ‘utilitarian,’ with a colour scheme
that’s Quake –remember that?- inspired
It was written on Mircrosoft Word, and, due to its ‘utilitarianess,’
should work without mishap on most browsers.
I decided to change the old site to reflect much of what I’ve been doing
for the last couple of years, namely writing stories for the Black Library’s Fan
Fiction forum and entering BL’s submission competitions (see Links). As regards my other fiction, I’ve a very
short story called ‘Write Me’ that will soon be generating rejection letters,
and a somewhat longer nostalgic horror that is already doing that - namely ‘The
Demon of Cocky Rusty.’ System, an ongoing novel, continues to
prick my guilty conscience as I haven’t touched it for far too long.
I’ll try to keep updates regular as I can, but please take especial
notice of the use of the word ‘irregular’
in the first sentence up there. If
there’s enough interest, there will be an email page added to proceedings.
That’ll do, as Farmer Hogget once said. Please email me with comments, suggestions,
guffaws, etc, as I do not intend to add somebody else’s comment page to this
(though there might be a hit counter – I know, ‘Woohoo!’)..
Book of the Update: E R Eddison’ The
Worm Ouroboros. An absolute classic
from the 1920s, it gets compared to The
Lord of the Rings (what doesn’t?), but would be better mentioned alongside The Silmarillion. The above painting would very much complement
it as a cover.
