The Jack Vance Message Board:
News, comment, more links, chat room, discussion. What’s more, the site
also has a direct link to Jack Vance himself. All this presented in a polite,
civilised manner that nevertheless can be quite cutting and acerbic –
which should appeal to any lover of Jack Vance’s works.
Jack Vance Museum: Lots of obscure Vance
nik-naks. Includes Jack Vance Information.
Interzone Magazine: Bi-monthly
SF magazine that features original stories, interviews, reviews, etc. Support
British SF – subscribe to Interzone.
Archonate: Website of Matthew Hughes. Author of
Vance-ish works (and much else), and also kind enough to take fledgling writers
under his wing for a little help and advice (mentioning no names).
Infinity Plus: SF and Fantasy
magazine dedicated to archiving all the best genre stories and articles that
otherwise would be forgotten. Superb, even if it hadn’t published my
story The Clients of Caralios. J (a re-write of Storm in a Follicle, done with the help
of Jack Vance-in-waiting, Matthew Hughes).
De
fantastische werelden van Jack Vance: some beautiful covers here, on a
beautiful site. However, it helps if you can read Dutch (at least I hope
it’s Dutch - forgive my stupidity if it’s not J).
Incunablum: Nothing to do
with Jack Vance, but rather another of my fictional loves: Warhammer 40k.
I’ve not the room to go into what that means if you’ve never heard
of it, but this site is a damn good place to start if you’re inclined to
find out.
